2018 BIG Idea Competition:
The Breakthrough, Innovative and Game-changing (BIG) Idea Challenge is an initiative supporting NASA’s Game Changing Development Program (GCD) efforts to rapidly mature innovative/high impact capabilities and technologies for infusion in a broad array of future NASA missions.

2017-2018 Source America Design Challenge:
The SourceAmerica Design Challenge is a national engineering competition in which participants create innovative workplace technologies for people with disabilities. The innovations enhance employment options and increase productivity in the work environment. There are two levels, one for high school and one for college.
Additive Industries Launches Design Challenge 2018:
Industrial 3D metal printing or additive manufacturing is gaining ground every day. In aerospace fuel nozzles are printed by GE Aviation, Siemens is printing parts for turbines and both dental and medical implants are made additively by several specialised manufacturers. Critical in the success of these innovative applications is the ability of the designer to ‘design for additive manufacturing’ or maximize the possibilities this new production technology has to offer.
Architecture at Zero 2017:
The Architecture at Zero competition challenge is to create a zero net energy bayside community education and visitor’s center, in support of the mission of the Romberg Tiburon Center for Environmental Studies (RTC). This facility is San Francisco State University’s center for estuary and ocean science located on 53 acres of bayside property in Tiburon, California. The competition has two components. First, entrants will create an overall site plan to accommodate the program outlined below.
Vimania Architecture Competition:
Augmented reality provides us with new research field of architecture. Now you do not need architectural models. We can see the building as it is with all the details. At the same time, it remains virtual model. These properties are augmented reality give us new opportunities. For example, we can compare the buildings from different regions of the world, from different eras in the same scale. We can make collections of buildings, unimaginable compositions.
The Metals in Construction magazine 2018 Design Challenge :
Conceptualize a state-of-the-art curtain wall system for a hypothetical 30-story office tower to be located on a 2.65-acre (115,244-square-foot) waterfront site, with 230,500 buildable square feet, at 500 Kent Avenue in the heart of Brooklyn’s developing tech hub.
2018 Digital Manufacturing Challenge:
Automobiles have long been one way to express individuality — particularly when customized with aftermarket or even maker-inspired components. Such components or systems often enhance the styling and/or the capability/performance of a common stock vehicle.
35th Annual Student Design Competition "A Reconfigurable VTO:
The 35th Annual Student Design Competition, requesting proposals for A Reconfigurable VTOL Aircraft, the goal of this year’s competition is to design a Group 3 size unmanned VTOL aircraft that achieves high-speed forward flight (relative to current VTOL aircraft) and efficient hover through the use of novel reconfigurable propulsive and lifting devices. The aircraft should have superior performance over a comparably-sized aircraft that does not have reconfigurable systems.
