Architectural Photography Award 2017:
Architectural Photography Award launched by the Association of Hungarian Architects and the Hungarian Architecture magazine. We invite photographs from all over the world in two categories: open and professional. The international jury: Iwan Baan, Tamás Bujnovszky, Nicolas Grospierre, András Krizsán, Josef Schulz, Jan Stempel, György Szegő. An exhibition is going to be opened in Budapest in November 2017, and it is to be moved to Bratislava, Prague and Cracow.
Amber Road Trekking Cabins Architecture Competition:
The AMBER ROAD TREKKING CABINS architecture competition, in partnership with the Latvia Nature Conservation Agency, is calling for designs for a series of trekking cabins to be situated along the immense and beautiful Amber Road trekking path. The path will span the full length of Latvia, running along the Baltic Sea beaches which are an undiscovered gem of Northern Europe’s pristine natural beauty.
2018 Better Philadelphia Challenge:
Founded in 2006 in memory of Philadelphia’s iconic 20th century city planner, Ed Bacon [1910-2005], this annual international competition challenges university-level students from around the world to address real-world urban design issues in Philadelphia that have application not only to our city, but to urban centers around the globe.
Conducted every October, the competition is open to undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students in any field of study.
Pape Bird Observation Tower:
The Pape Nature Park is home to a uniquely diverse ecosystem. There are a great number of protected plant, animal and bird species concentrated within the relatively small park area, which is located in the Nica and Rucava Municipalities in the South Western region of Latvia.
The Architect's Newspaper 2017 Best of Design Awards:
The Architect's Newspaper's 5th Best of Design Awards is now open for submissions. Best of Design is a unique project-based awards program that showcases great buildings and building elements. Entrants are invited to submit completed works in 42 categories, including Architectural Lighting, Building Renovation, Digital Fabrication, Civic, Green Building, Small Spaces, Student Projects, Urban Design, and Young Architects. The deadline for submissions is September 29, 2017.
The All Along the Watchtower Competition is open to architects, students of architecture, recent graduates, and associated disciplines from around the world.
CYSOA is looking to continue investigating the coastline of Geroskipou (the site of the Paphos Beach Shelters Competition). The winning design will be constructed on Geroskipou Beach in consultation with the local municipality.
Trophée béton école 2017:
Le Trophée béton invite les futurs professionnels à s'interroger sur les qualités esthétiques, techniques et environnementales du matériau béton.
Il prime les PFE (projet de fin d'étude) dont l'architecture et les performances constructives mettent en valeur l'utilisation du matériau béton. Tous les projets de fin d'étude peuvent être présentés, quels que soient leurs échelles ou leurs programmes, pourvu qu'ils répondent au cahier des charges.

Paris Riverside Restaurant Architecture Competition:
Paris and the entire country of France is world-famous for its cuisine, with a non-exhaustive list of delicacies and culinary systems. The culinary reputation of Paris is very rich, cultured and diverse. French food culture, according to UNESCO, is important for ‘bringing people together to enjoy the art of good eating and drinking’ and the power to create ‘togetherness, the pleasure of taste, and the balance between human beings and the products of nature’.
Fentress Global Student Architecture Challenge 2017:
The 2017 Fentress Global Challenge, an international design competition for young and student architects. As in years past, the theme, consistent with the firm’s expertise in airport design and aviation, is envisioning an airport of the future.
Participants are encouraged to re-envision the terminal building in the year 2075 using one of 10 existing international airports, taking into consideration local context, technological trends, and passenger experience.
Give a Park Get a Park Design Competition in Detroit:
The City of Detroit, in partnership with the Knight Foundation, seeks ambitious, multidisciplinary design teams to join residents in developing a new park in one of Detroit’s vibrant neighborhoods. Come to Detroit this summer/fall and be a part of a new landscape-based revitalization strategy!
First place design winners will receive a prize of $10,000 and have their park design implemented by the City of Detroit.
